Yes, it's Instant!

The chic planned this lunch for herself. She wanted to take oatmeal and "breakfast stuff". Soooooooo...the plan is that she is taking the lunch jar (come on, say it with me...lunch jar) with hot water and will mix the instant oatmeal with the water at lunchtime.

Oatmeal, Whole wheat waffle heart, Turkey sausage links, Strawberries, Honey yogurt with almonds.

I know, I know, it's "instant" oatmeal and I'm usually totally against any pre-made food that I can make myself. BUT I was afraid that if I made "real" oatmeal ahead of time, it would be gross by lunch. Anyone else packed cooked oatmeal before?

I am a fan of instant oatmeal. :D I am not a morning person and the instant is appreciated lol. Too bad Kidlet won't eat any oatmeal!

I've never tried to pack it premade before for any bento but I think it wouldn't taste very good if left out

Hm, I've never packed cooked oatmeal, but don't see why it wouldn't keep nicely in a thermos til lunch! Love the almond flower. So pretty :)

I pack cooked oatmeal (or porridge as we call it in the UK!)all the time, Just make it a little bit more runny than normal as it thickens up. My miffy thermal jar is great for this. I don't have access to hot water or a microwave at work, I'm out in a van all day, so this works great for me, especially now it's colder!
